This product is definitely a must if you have toddlers. I was surprised how loud it was. Easy to use and remove when wanting to swim.

Once it goes off, it's difficult to turn off. Also difficult to move around just right without the alarm sounding. Had 2 ducks land in the pool and it didn't alarm. My 15lb dog feel in and sunk to the bottom and it didn't alarm. Jury out on its usefulness.

I appreciated the video showing how to assemble and install the alarm. The item was slightly different than pictured, and a phone call to the mfg clarified that it was the current version. The pool alarm is loud, as is the remote alarm inside the house! The inspector saw it in place in the pool and didn't even ask to have it demonstrated, so we passed inspection and we feel confident that the alarm will be a valuable addition to our vacation home rental.

Boy is this alarm loud! Put it in my new pool and mistakenly set it off and it was LOUD! I swear you can hear it 500 yards away! We had to purchase this per local law which is fine. It’s one of the less intrusive laws we have in Florida and it is good if it prevents a kid from drowning! Easy peasy set up and looks ok too. The alarm also has a component that sits in the house in case you don’t hear it go off outside!

Wish I could give negative stars!!! I bought this product because we have an in ground pool that isn’t fenced off separately from the rest of the yard. I have kids, they can swim great, but I also have dogs. I emailed the manufacturer, sent measurements of my pool, got a reply saying I needed 2 alarms for the size of my pool and they told me exactly where to put them. I did exactly that!! I tested them, as the instructions say, they went off. Instructions say they CAN be used with a solar cover. So the solar cover was on, alarms were installed and “working” my 26 lb French bulldog fell into our pool. Crickets!!! No alarms sounded!!! seconds later, not 100 sure exactly how long, it happened so fast, I couldn’t see him, went to the pool and saw him AT THE BOTTOM OF MY DEEP END!!! I jumped in, pulled him out, tried CPR He didn’t make it he was 7 months old! My family is CRUSHED!!! The alarm went off when I jumped in to save my dog but I DIDN’T go off when he fell in!!!! What if this was your toddler?? My daughter weighs 30lbs!!! These will give you a VERY FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY!!! Beware!!!! So now we've lost our cherished family pet, $4,000 we spent on the pup and hundreds spent on these worthless alarms!!!!

Seems to sensitive for water movement in pool. Alarm required by code!
