I TOOK OUT THE ORIGINAL LAMP WICH WAS STILL OPERATIONAL AFTER TWO YEARS. MY POND GUY EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE LIGHT SPECTRUM CHANGES OVER TIME AND I NEEDED TO RELAMP. SO; I ORDERED THIS AND IT WORKED GREAT... FOR A MONTH THEN THE BALAST BLEW

These bulbs have an average life span of barely 10 months of continual use. This is my third one and each before this has lasted roughly ten months. When the bulb is working it does a superb job of keeping the water clean. I have a 1900 gallon pond with a 1800 gph pump running through 2" pvc. The uv filter does a great job.

I have several uv lights and this bulb was completely compatible and works very well. I change them every 8 months so the great price here gave me a resource to buy my bulbs without gauging my pond budget.

The bulb was just as it was described in the posting. The price was extremely competitive as well. The one that I saw at our local store was 25% more.
