If it lasts more than 2 years I will be very pleased. I used another pump before (direct drive) that would do pretty well but would never last more than 2 years. I'm hoping this mag drive will do better

I like the way it is designed with the magnetic drive impeller instead of a shaft and seal that eventually leaks. I also like that it is absolutely silent, pumps all that I need and it still only draws 38 watts. I bought this for my large jar fountain which shoots a single spout up about 5 from the center then it cascades down the outside with an even sheet of water.

Makes the others look like plastic toys.I'm using it to pull up from a bottom filter of an outdoor fish pond, and up to an above ground water feature. No sweat.

These are very dependable, and last for years. It only has one moving part, (impeller) which lasts for about a year of eight hours daily use as a fountain spray 3 feet high. The impeller can be replaced at a fraction of the cost of a new pump. I have replaced the impeller on one of these four times, and it runs as new.

I've used these brand filters for years and every day have 8 running throughout various projects. In five years I've had to replace 3 of them, so I'd say the average life span under constant use is 3 years.

It is quiet pump, all is plastic( except the screws ) so you won't have problem with the rust and has a long cord. I use for a 2 meters high fountain and works fine. Very good pump that I would recomend

There seems to be some confusion in shipping and/or packaging since some reviewers received the cage and others the sponge filter. Mine came with the cage. It's been running 24/7 for 3 months so far and has been working perfectly.

This pump works great. A sponge filter was inserted into the filter cage to help it to filter our pond. The water in the pond is crystal clear.
