Easy to put together only thing I could suggest would be a handle, large handle at the top of the crate for carting to the car or truck.

I have a 1 year old basset hound. She has extreme separation anxiety and will claw out of anything mesh or of cloth-like material so I need something sturdy. My puppy is long and this crate is huge which I love because that means I can have it for a long time. I'm not a big fan of spending a lot of money and dog materials because dogs grow so fast but this is a great purchase and I'm very satisfied.

This worked fine for a short time for my anxiety ridden 50 lb. dog. There's a plastic cover over the latches that broke immediately. After a few months, she completely broke the door. I ordered a replacement door and she broke it on the first try. If you have a normal dog who's crate trained, this is just fine. My crazy girl figured out how to break it and will continue to break it.

My dog is quite the Houdini. I got this because he escaped his wire crate a few times. He made it about a week before he was able to finagle the whole door of this one (still have no clue how). Pretty good crate on the whole (especially for the price), but if your dog is extra anxious and an escape artist, get something heavy duty.

I have an older Petmate crate that I have been using for years for my cat and puppies. My current puppy needed a bigger crate, so I decided to get another Petmate crate. The quality has gone downhill. The plastic is now so cheap and thin. Also, I did not get what was pictured. Mine has bolts and not the snaps to keep it together.

Spazzy dog broke spring locking handle in just 2 days. The shell seems sturdy, but the locking handle is flimsy.
