It took awhile for this old brain to adjust to unfamiliar icons, actions, signals, and motifs, but I was determined to have a phone on which I could actually hear the caller and I could manipulate the device to let me hear as I once could. The first thing I did is call a person who possesses the softest voice I know in the softest tones. I did not have to say, "What?" once the entire conversation. An absolute delight! I was prepared to use BOOST and maybe have it hurt my ears. I held it away from my ear and lowered the boost a little just in case. I was fortunate enough to hit the right spot. What a pleasure! To be able to talk to my sister without straining to understand or hear was almost worth the cost of the phone. Got lots to learn yet. I am not as hearing impaired as many, but what a joy! 01/28/25
