Comong from a tennis/raquetball background the shape is similar. It was a little on the light side but some lead tape helps alot. Overall a great raquet!

I've been playing pickleball about three years now. Recently I started experiencing some elbow soreness. No swelling or extreme pain, but I needed to change paddles. I'd been using a V2 Hybrid, which I love because it's lightweight, but it has no shock absorption, so my elbow was the unhappy beneficiary of that unhappy situation. Enter Paddletack Tempest Reign Pro (CP edition). I tried it out while on vacation from a woman who is a PT ambassador. I really liked it but wanted the slimmer grip. I've never been a tennis player, so I prefer a smaller grip and this one is just right. The paddle is light and incredibly responsive. It can cut a little sharp on the angles, so I had to make a few adjustments, but for the most part, I picked it up and played well with no issues. Prior to this paddle, I've been playing with the more traditional paddle, not the elongated style. Switching over was automatic. I'm happy to have found a professional paddle that feels good in my hand and is easier on my elbow. Highly recommend!

After a couples of year's worth of use on the older model of the Paddletek Tempest Wave, someone suggested that I try the newer one. I borrowed someone's older extra standard size paddle, but preferred this one, narrower but longer. I loved it. So, I bought one for myself with the small grip. I have small hands, so the small grip is much better than the standard one. I love the springiness of this newer model (the older model didn't have it), the power and the weight. It's such a great paddle, my sister tried it and bought the same one.

I was looking for more reach, power and control which I got in spades with this paddle. Bigger sweet spot also helped tremendously. Wish I'd bought it sooner.
