I got this for my kids because there’s not much available between crayola (basically printer paper) and canson (art student quality). I bought this at $0.14 per sheet. I’m beginning to learn watercolor, so I thought I’d use it myself for practicing techniques and warming up for a painting. I couldn’t even make it through a whole painting. It’s like they repackaged heavy sketch paper. Soaks up the water immediately, dulls the colors, and doesn’t not allow for blending or lifting. It’s not bad paper, it’s just not watercolor paper. It might actually be better for little kids because the don’t want their colors to bleed together, but I think there are cheaper options for that. Photo shows a side by side of what I started on this paper vs. what i painted on canson 140lb cold press. Same paints, brushes, techniques, etc. if I hadn’t tried both I would assume that I was just hopeless at painting.
