The wide 55 to 5,800 Hz frequency response, makes this driver and excellent choice for use as a woofer in two-way designs or even a midrange/midbass in large three-way speaker systems.

With improved excursion and higher power handling over PRV's popular 12W750A, the 12W800A Alto series 12" professional 8 ohm woofer offers improved output capability and more low frequency impact. Designed for use in a studio or on stage, the 12W800A is a great choice for any system where high efficiency and high output is the goal. This driver has been painstakingly voiced to create a natural tone with low distortion at high levels. Featuring a multi-roll surround, large raised spider, and 2-1/2" light-weight voice coil, the 12W800A is capable of high output while keeping distortion under control. Also, the vented pole also improves cooling of the voice coil allowing continuous power handling of up to 400 watts RMS with minimal power compression.
