I continue to buy this product as it cleans and maintains my filter and removes calcium build up on my black slate fountain.

Calcium fell out of solution my first year maintaining pool water in a large Intex pool after i added too much soda ash too quickly. SC-1000 corrected the problem within 24 hours. Follow the instructions and be aware, if it's used initially during the pool season, your pool will not hold chlorine for about a week. Next year, I will use this with the first fill. Even though I never added weekly maintenance doses, the pool never clouded again from calcium over saturation. I did still get mustard algae late in the season.

I was hoping that the SC-1000 would remove the calcium deposits from my waterline tiles that had been building up over the last 3 years. After following the directions carefully regarding the water chemistry, raising the water level and waiting a month, this product did very little. I did notice that calcium flakes were being deposited at the bottom of my pool which I suspect were probably coming from my pool heater. I saw that this product was breaking down calcium from somewhere but not from the waterline tiles. If you have a pencil thin line of scale as seen in the Orenda video, this product may work but not with a solid buildup. I contacted Orenda on 3 occasions but received little assistance.

We built our pool a year ago. Our pool guy was having a hard time balancing the chemicals. Finally, it hit us. We had a small leak that turned into a big one throughout the year. We had no idea until we got a notification from the water company saying the water had been running for over 24 hours. Over the last 6 months, the calcium buildup started and it wouldn’t get any better with brushing. Our pool guy suggested this product and it has worked wonders. It took a bit to start seeing and feeling the results but it has definitely been a lifesaver! As the water heats up throughout this early summer, 80 degrees and up, our pool walls have started to become smooth again!

I didn't work for calcium nodules I even gave it extra time and nothing. I hate losing money for bogus claims

Tried this product to help me rid my pool tile of slight calcium buildup. Raised my water level and kept it raised for a week, and still unable to remove the line. It did however, cause havoc with my chlorine chemistry. So far, I’d have to say buyer beware.

Definitely breaks ups and dissolves the calcium. I still have a little but made a huge difference in just 24 hours. A second treatment would be needed, but I was starting with a calcium build up problem.
