There are more expensive string winders with pin puller but this one is all I need as it gets the job done so well. Simple, but effective. It will pop out a bridge pin with ease and wind or unwind the strings quickly. Couldn't ask for much more. The pin puller just seems to fit under the pin really well and lift the pin out with ease. The design is just about perfect. There are some other pin pullers that seem a bit awkward to use by comparison and not get the job done quite as easy. I had another one of these just like it and used it for about 20 years and probably changed 150 sets of strings with it. The only thing is the plastic that fits under the bridge pin eventually wears down a bit and the fit gets a bit sloppy and is not as tight. But hey, 20 years and it only costs a few bucks. If this new one lasts twenty years as I will be quite happy.
