Helps reduce pops, frictives, essing, and even feedback without muffling. Fits snug, doesn't rub the cage of my SM48. I often backline my mics and this thing helps keep people's beer breath and pizza slobber off my mic. It does look like a big clown nose which is kind of silly, but if people make fun of it I say kiss the clown nose.
