Great level of firmness. Not too hard or soft.

After reading 100's of reviews of different rollers I decided to spend a little more and go with this one and I am glad I did, worth every single penny. I suffer of back pain and wrong posture for over 25 years and never heard or tried a roller, I decided to focus and work in my back exercising, stretching. I also do a lot of bending and heavy lifting at work carrying ladders. I use it daily after work and my exercises and instant results. It feels very comfortable, I was a super worry because my back it's very, very sensitive, it “was”kind of impossible to laid in a hard surface, the roller helped me a lot, noticed a tremendous change immediately after the first pleasure use and I am very sure it will help me as well to fix my posture, it's super easy to use isn't that hard just perfect for me, I strongly recommend this roller if you suffer of back pain, a must have for home therapy.

A PT recommended it. I use it everyday before bedtime. It helps a lot to relax. Very good quality.

I found out I have lumbar thoracic scoliosis and could hardly get comfortable to sleep more than a couple hours at a time. A friend recommended rollers and I looked up reviews and got this one and a half roller, too. They've totally relieved my discomfort and I feel so much better overall. My posture's better, too.

A bit pricey, but much better than the cheaper ones: significantly softer and more resilient, so easier to use; and much tougher composition that doesn't shed little foam bits all over the place. Highly recommended.

The foam roller is part of my physical therapy following neck surgery. It helps relieve tight muscles along my back spine.

I use this for releaseing tight muscle. In the morning to open up my body or whenever I feel I want to align my body. Makes a big difference after using it. Decent firmness for me.

Awesome foam roller. I was using one before for Pilates, that was too hard. I bought this one and now I am not having any pain while doing exercises on it. Highly recommend

I bought it because it was literally the exact same one that my therapist had when I was getting PT, it works.

I've used OTP rollers for years and they hold up well. Eventually, after a few years of daily use it will get a slight bit out of round but still works great. Wonderful pain release.

I 34;could34; take a harder roller, but why should I? Overall my quads prefer this to a 34;hard foam34; roller, and any tender spots will thank you for this one. I'm a myofascial release therapist by trade. More recent research has shown that tissues actually respond better to softer materials/tools. Not sure why so many people, trainers, etc continue to use or promote 34;harder is better34; for soft tissue therapy. The 34;no pain, no gain34; mindset often lead us into pain in the first place. It rarely helps us out of pain, and a softer tool can be 34;just as34; or even 34;more34; effective. On top of that, if you're one of many (like most of my clients) who stopped foam rolling because it hurts too much, what's the point? Try a softer tool and see how that works for you. Overall, its not 34;too34; soft. It gives on top, and has a firm, foam center. What's also nice, is it can kinda of grab and drag your tissue a bit - just like some myofascial release techniques. It's similar to the Melt roller, but larger diameter, and maybe slightly different material, giving it a slightly different feel (yet more similar than any standard roller). If you use Yoga Tune-up balls (my other/maybe more favorite rolling device), it's softer than new balls, but kinda like very well-worn balls. I like the shorter length, vs Melt or a regular roller, so I'm not bumping into my furniture with it.

This pink Soft Foam Roller from OPTP is the same type that they use at my physical therapist's. I'm so happy that I have one of my own to lay on and stretch out my back between the shoulder blades, as well as other exercises. The 3 foot length is perfect and the roller's give (soft density) does not enflame my muscles. I love this squishy and comfortable roller!

I have a high density foam roller and it is great for rolling out my back and laying on to stretch out my chest. I bought this to roll out more tender areas such as my IT band, quads, and shins were far to tender and painful to roll with this roller so trying to use it would just make my muscles more tense. I have been using this for a few weeks and it has the perfect balance of firmness and give so I can roll out tender areas and actually release the muscles.

This is a great alternative to the hard foam rollers. It has become my favorite roller for my continuing physical therapy.

I can't live with out this lumbar roller. I use it to loosen the muscles that align my spine. I also use it to loosen my calf muscles and foot arches. I struggle with peripheral neuropathy in my feet and legs so this is an important form of daily therapy to keep me going!

Simply the best SOFT foam roller. We have these at my gym and I loved it so much I bought one for home use. When you have painful areas that would benefit from foam rolling, this is your roller.
