This flexible sanding block is flexible enough to get into tight places while maintaining its overall shape

Use this block mostly for wet sanding clear coats. But works awesome for and paint and body work. Going through the clear coat sanding process I start with a hard block and straighten up the orange peel, and then use the harder side of of this block as I go through upper grits of paper. As I get into the 2000, 2500, and 3000 grits I will use the soft sid of the block. Awesome sanding block!

Pretty basic review. It works like it should with expected flexibility. Good materials and fair price. Would buy again

I've been working on ceiling cove that was installed improperly so the joint shows. Two contractors worked on it and failed. This item, because it is flexible, fits the curve of the cove perfectly. I figure after about 20 sessions I'll have everything sanded to the point it matches. Not so simple with rigid sad blocks.

Works great for sanding clearcoat when doing auto body. I will probably use it in Woodworking too for sanding roundovers.

Needed a new soft block, BADLY! Doing autobody repair, I count on these! This one started out great until I had to change the sandpaper, and half the block ripped off with the paper! This was the first time I veered away from, those other guys, on a soft blockthere firm/flex, larger blocks, are great! No prob! This one not so much. I had to throw it out it was sanding way too uneven.

Context: Wet and dry sanding on 2005 Dodge Ram fender. There is barely a flat surface on it. Pro: It did not soak up water when wet sanding. Paper did not bind or slip off of the block (no adhesives used) Thin enough to feel contours but thick enough to hold a consistent sanding surface. Cons: None really. Just be sure you know what it is for. Maybe a little thin.......Maybe not. Notes: This is better described as a contour block. It is working great in the contours of the fender I am working on but a thicker block would probably do just as well and be more comfortable for the amount of sanding I am doing. They have a couple of "Big Block" options I plan on getting before moving on to the next body panel.

So this is a great block for sanding both flat and curved surfaces, and I really recommend purchasing it if you do any wet sanding. I would purchase it again.BUT, I can't help thinking that if I knew where to buy this type of foam, I could cut at least 5 of these for $10 rather than just 1. So, rather than buying more now, I'm trying to find a foam that's similar to it from McMaster or someone. There's not a lot of engineering that went into this blockit's just foam rubberthough I do notice that this block appears to be made of 2 layers of foam (black and gray), but I'm not sure if they are different density. It appears the bottom half _may_ be slightly less dense than the top half, but not sure how required that would be.I think I've even seen a similar type of foam used for packaging some products. (Things that come in those fancy durable boxes, that are sometimes hingedlike smart phones, vaporizers, airbrushesanything they're trying to give a luxury feelsometimes come with a piece of it cut out to fit the product. Keeping my eye out! Until then, go for this, I guess!

A little more then the competition but works great. I use one for the occasional dry sanding but this really shines wet sanding daily and holds up.
