Perfect Storm is a sound-activated device that allows you to control the on and off flashing of lights when the thunder sound from the CD supplied is played. This makes for great thunderstorm effects for your haunted house or home haunt/Halloween party. Simply play the CD provided with the unit with your lights plugged into the back of the Perfect Storm Box (which can be plugged into any 15 amp. 120 volt outlet). Please note that total lights used should not exceed 1000 watts of power or a reset fuse in the back of the unti will trip. If this happens reduce lights used and hit reset button on back of unit. Besides using CD you can also place whatever sound effect you wish into your tape player MP3 player smart phone etc and either place one of your stereo speakers near or in front of the Perfect Storm unit or connect the player audio line out (the proper jack cable may be needed, and is not included) to the Perfect Storm audio input jack. Using either of these two ways, when thunder is heard, lights will flash in synchronized fashion. Includes CD with over one hour of sound effects, CD player not included. Power input 120v/60 hz. Uses type 15A fuse. AC jack and audio jack. Round sensor knob on front of unit is adjustable to make lights flash to your liking. The Perfect Storm will work with a variety of different types of lights in including both incandescent and LED. (Not recommended for flourescent lights). For indoor use only. User instructions included.

Worked well. Bought this for Halloween for the lightning effect, very satisfied. Hooked up a single 500watt portable worklight and cheap comp speakers with sub. It was a huge hit in the neighborhood. Had lots of compliments.It was also a nice surprise I received the newest 2.0 version of this device that wasnt advertised. I didn't need the additional ipod feature, but the upgrade was a nice touch. The portable light has a yellow color and some ppl have mentioned a white light might make a better effect but it didnt take away from the mood, ppl loved it. I cant insert my video here but if you search Perfect stormprojection halloween 2017 in a popular video channel..you will see my setup.

Worked exactly as advertised. I suggest you use a whiter light to give a truer lightning effect. I used a very bright white LED and got a great reaction from people.

Our church runs a yearly 34;trunk or treat34; for Halloween. I was by far the best car out there. Used the 120V plug with factory stereo and the onboard mic to trigger a bunch of LED lights we had strung up in the trunk. Worked like a charm, can't wait to use this again next year. One thing of note ... its a 3 prong plug if you at all are going to brave running this in a car like I am make sure to pick up a 3 to 2 prong adapter. Another thing of note, most people aren't going to use the provided CD but just rip the song and load it into iTunes or whatever. What a surprise my daughter had when she went to load new music on her iPod thinking she was loading Imagine Dragons Thunder on her device and got this instead :-)
