I had bought one previously and had to replace it as black ink shows up brilliantly on a white coat. This is a good, heavy lab coat. Its heaviness is a plus, but in the summer it is a little hot. It does fit well and looks good, to me anyway.

I bought this for shadowing at the hospital and I was surprised that it was perfect for what I needed.<br /><br />White coat:<br />Two big pockets in the front to fit a notebook, pens, and papers (one of the big pockets has several loops that you can hang your pen on. GENIUS!)<br />A pocket near the chest for additional pens and my phone.<br />The coat itself is made of a stiff material which isn't too bad when walking around in the hospital (which has central air) but can be a death trap when walking around in the heat (shadowed in the summer so I always avoided heat when I could).<br />The coat is therefore a bit heavy (not experienced in white coats but this has a little heft compared to other garments I've worn. Your mileage may vary).<br />I am about 5" 7' and I work out so my shoulders are a bit broad but this fit with no problem, even when buttoned.<br />Sleeves are only a tiny bit long so they go past my wrist just a bit which is not necessarily an issue but just an observation.<br /><br />For my first white coat, not bad! I'm loving it so far!<br /><br />Edit:<br />Forgot to add that I am between a medium/large so a small fit me quite well. If you wear a small, order an xs.

Well tailored fit and thick material- we have now purchased this coat three times for my med student husband so he has extras. He loves the plethora of pockets and the fact that this coat is not too boxy. The price doesn't hurt either!
