It's accuracy, dependable light weight.

Does what it says, I use it for cooking to heat oil to recommended temps and the food comes out good when I follow the recipes so it's doing something right.

Works well for what it was intended for.

Perfect for heavy equipment mechanic. The case is nice and comes with an A/C vent pen style thermometer. I had a SouthWire brand temp gun but cant find it for the life of me. Southwire is the expensive brand of electrical tools found at Lowes. Their temp gun was really nice. I had it for 6yrs. Compared to this one, I like the master cool better. Doesn't feel cheap in your hand and having the bullseye design laser vs just the small read dot is actually a nice feature that helps. Some tools that I've bought with their own case suck. The cases never fit right. The case for this gun was thought out well. It actually makes sense.

Haven't checked accuracy but seem cool reading on my forehead, but seem to march up with dash gauges on transmission rearends. might need read I instructions

I had the same model from 20 years ago before it died! Works way better than old one! Can't go wrong with this thermometer.!

Works great

Arrived on time, nice lightweight item, came with batteries and the separate temperature probe. The one thing: as other reviewers have noted the battery cover is really hard to remove. It took both my husband and me to take it off the first time, using a channel lock to grip it. Once it was removed, we filed down the little clips that click the cover into the body. The clips are located just past where you could pinch the battery cover, so it is impossible to pinch the clips in enough to get them out of the way and pull down the cover. Between filing down the points of the clips and coating the inside edges of the battery cover with silicon grease, it stays in place and is easy to remove. I checked the temperature agains my existing instead digital thermometer and it is accurate. It works great - I have used it to identify warm spots in the refrigerator. We also have a wood fired pizza oven and plan to use it to know just when to start cooking.
