did not work for me. (1) does NOT work for 3 groove keepers does NOT work on 2 spring heads (2) springs are under enormous pressure and i can see how they may work for removal,,,but Never reinstall....(3) main reason is springs are under enormous pressure you think you can press down and place keepers in place....NO. you need a spring compressor c clamp. do not recommend only recommend if you have a single groove keeper, and springs are easy to compress...maybe lawnmover?

This tool is easy to use and makes valve seal replacement a breeze. Instructions are included, but an Internet search will reveal videos for visual learners. I used the tool in conjunction with a trick to change valve seals with the cylinder head attached. The tool requires a swift and forceful strike to remove and install keepers. A brass hammer or a palm strike was all I needed to perform the job.

This tool did NOT work on a Mazda Miata NA cylinder head, despite online sources showing that a similar tool works well. There were two problems: the magnets do not seem to be strong enough to actually grab the valve keepers once the spring is compressed, and it is difficult to keep the tool centered inside the delicate lifter bore without scratching the aluminum walls when striking it. We resorted to using a deep socket with some strong magnets inside, which is what this tool is supposed to act like but better. If I ever want to recover my wasted money, I may try to disassemble the retaining ring and add better magnets, but it looks like it will be a hassle. 2 stars because it's solid and well-machined. Just wish it worked.

Amazing! Why is this not a widespread product! If anyone does any engine overhaul on a regular basis and does not have this tool they are a fool.

TOOL MAKES IT VERY EASY TO REMOVE THE KEEPERS FROM THE VALVE AND RETAINER. WOULD BE NICE IF TOOL WOULD WORK ON DIFFERENT SIZES OF VALVES.

Major bummer. Even though it states 4.5mm valve stem compatible, the outside diameter of the tool is just a bit too large to fit on the exhaust side of most 4 cyl/16 valve motorcycle engines. Missed my return window by a couple weeks. =( I'm sure it works great on larger heads but won't do me any good.

I bought the tool to work on my 2005 Odyssey J35A7 engine. It works great for removing the valve spring keepers. The installation part of the tool didn’t work for me. I was concerned about bending a valve by hitting the tool with the force required to install the keepers. The tool would also work on a Honda Civic.

if you ever at anytime need to change your valves and they have keepers you need this tool. it makes removing/installing SUPER easy. Plus the strong magnet on it makes sure the keepers don't go flying across the room. for the same money you can by the other c-clamp style one from a box store, which doesn't work well on imports like Honda. This works great on Honda's.

Removal was actually fun! Installation was a little bit tricky. Have to depress spring and go side to side so the keepers can jump into place on the valve stem when the retainer is best centered on the spring while depressed. Works good, it's a cool tool. Highly recommend this tool!

After the second valve the tip of the tool got bent and stuck to where it won’t grab the keepers anymore not satisfied at all
