It can be use to teach multiple topic. I used it to teach properties of equality but it can be use to teach computation as well.

This scale works perfectly for our math lessons. We use Right Start Math and needed a more afforadable option for a scale. This one is cost-effective and durable. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

This is a pretty good math manipulative that you can use to teach anywhere from teaching numbers, comparing numbers , addition and subtraction. It was pretty easy to assemble

We have the larger balance and it was just too bulky for our homeschool space. I found this and ordered it and it does a great job at being small and useful! Easily stored.

This was really nice for our first grader to learn math concepts, but the pin that hold the beam to the stand broke. Not sure how to contact the company to get a replacement part. Just be careful with it.

I have had others that were more costly. The nature of the beast, they all have to be evenly weighted on both sides to be sturdy.

This product does not work at all. It does not balance anything properly and does not help with teaching addition and subtraction as I had hoped.

I loved engineering and physics when I was in school. This is a simple machine to teach my son leverage mechanism and math while he is learning multiplication. After he got the concept he started saying “10 divided by 3 equals 3 with remainder of 1”. I said”no no no this mechanism doesn't” Well, he proved me wrong. He plugged it in and it worked!!! Brilliant.

Wow, what a great buy! My son loves weighing each side but more so it is an awesome visual to illustrate more than, less than and addition for my lil math wiz. Highly recommend for the price!
