Your smartphone is always within reach with this universal holder. The holder is suitable for flat devices, e.g. smartphones or MP3 players with a width of 1.8 to 2.99". It's quick and easy to use - simply place the smartphone in the holder and close the clamping jaws - finished. The device is released at the press of a button. The clamping jaws, with integrated moss rubber protectors, ensure a strong grip and eliminate undesired vibration sound problems. To ensure that the accessibility of operating controls is not affected, the bars of the holder can be removed and re-inserted on the reverse side of the holder. Unlike many other holders, this mount works regardless of whether your device is in a case or not. The orientation can be easily switched between portrait and landscape format, and the stable clamping element with ergonomic knurled screw means the holder can be attached to shafts with a maximum diameter of 1.18". Heavy duty. The phone holder slips out of the mount a little too easily; I will probably do some kind of mod to make it more secure. The goose-neck is very strong (seemed to be a complaint for a competing product); hard to adjust, but stable once it is in place. Seems to hold the phone in place securely, release button is a little hard to find. Worth the extra $s? I'm guessing it is.

Fit's my galaxy s5 well. I can't say it fits perfectly though because it's not like this is designed specifically for my galaxy s5 but it can fit almost any phone. It is very easy to move around except sometimes the clip holding the phone will snap out of place if you try to turn it to the left. Overall very great build quality and deign and a fine piece of german engineering. Also, I like how I could use this attachment on my music stand as an improvised 34;camera stand34; to record my razer Blackwidow chroma RGB-lit gaming keyboard, naga chroma mouse, firefly mouse mat, and Kraken chroma headsets light up and react to the music on my computer as a light show. It can also be improvised as a 34;tabletop camera stand34; by attaching it to a trumpet stand without a horn in it and placing it on top of a table, desk, or an elevated surface.
