If you do any siding these are an absolute must have. They lock on to the lower corse of siding and set the depth for the next row. Great when working alone. Holds Hardie siding and cedar. They make your job easier. Buy 2 sets to move faster.

I made the mistake of just using a 4' level and measuring tape to repair hardie siding. Found out the existing siding was just enough out of level for things not to line up. Hardie does not come off clean so I had to rip off the newly installed boards and purchase new ones to do the job again. The cost for the mistake was more than this tool. TLDR: Buy this tool and get the job done right the first time.

I am a handyman and do lots of siding.....both full installs and various repairs. These clamps save so much time and I can do the job alone if needed. They hold very tight and are accurate! Always check that the clamps are butted up against the previous board before nailing. One small issue...be sure to check the acorn nut on the shoulder bolt (to set the reveal distance) to ensure it is tight. It has fallen off twice on me and can be difficult to find. I got lucky both times! But the clamps are, overall, a great purchase. And about half of what they were at Home Depot.

This product came in handy when putting up hardy board. It kept the hardy board straight and the was able to put it up without help. I definitely would recommend this product.

Used them right out of the box for a small can storage wall project. Note to self, measure your total height and adjust the gauges so it finishes on a full faced height board. Aside from my mistake, these work great and are a lifesaver for hanging hardi board straight and level.
