I got this for my dog. Instead of throwing it, I can just put it in this and it'll launch it for me perfectly every time . He gets excited when I set it up for him to get all of his energy out. My tip is train your dog to stand to the side of it because it will go straight into his/ her face. My dog hasn't gotten serious hurt from it but has gotten hit in the face. I can imagine it would hurt so yourself from the guilt and teach the dog to stand to the side.

I got this as a gift and setting it up was quite difficult, the pieces don't snap together like they should. Once we finally got it set up we used it inside and had it set up on a step and it seemed like it worked great, but then we took it outside and it shot the ball too low even when it's right in front of you, and it's not consistent at all.

It's great to use for child who is afraid of the ball hitting them. It's predictable and allows the child to get used to the ball coming at them. We've used it for batting and catching. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't stay put. The force of it shooting the ball moves the entire thing. Best we could do was place it between 2 big rocks to help it stay still. My kid (5 year old) has gained so much confidence out there in his games, so for that I love it.
