It was reasonably easy to remove the old thermostat, and then install this one. My only issue was that the images make it look bigger than it is. Not that big of a deal of course. I got a little painting to do.

Good basic thermostat, just important to know that it only displays one temperature at a time. It's standard display is the room temperature, and when you push a button to change the target temperature, you see the target temperature for a couple of seconds. Not a huge deal but less convenient than thermostats that display both.

Loved the ease of installing and programing it. Really dislike it's inconsistencies when it comes to holding the set temperature. I set it at 71 and there are times when the temp will drop to 67 and the unit still isn't calling for heat. Other times it continues to call for heat when it's over 64. I purchased it because it's a Honeeywell, MY BAD

Our five Honeywell Home RTH2300B1038 5-2 Day Programmable Thermostats we put on our gas unit heaters worked fine until it got cold. Then an error message popped up saying LO. Tried changing the batteries but still wouldn't work. Threw out a number of AAA alkaline batteries before we realized it wasn't the batteries. We initially used Eneloop rechargeables, which were also okay until it got cold. Replaced with alkaline batteries again but still had the LO error message. We should be able to use the rechargeable batteries because it saves money and is good for the environment. Alkaline batteries tend to leak and shouldn't go in the landfill, so Honeywell should stop saying they are "green" if we have to use them. Could be our imagination, but it seems we needed to warm up the thermostat before it would work. I know we're maybe a little weird because we want the heaters to work when it gets cold, but we don't think it's too much to ask.

Very easy install. It comes with labels that are meant to be applied to the wires before removing the old thermostat, so they don't get mixed up when installing.Like many users reported, mine also had a dark smudge in the bottom right of the LCD display. This smudge cannot be cleaned off because it is inside. I suspect it's an issue with the electroluminescent layer, since the smudge is only visible when the backlight is on.

Simple thermostat. easy to install and works perfect.Most have a light that lights when your adjusting the Temp.This has a nice size display and very clear to see.Also the price was fair.
