Getting a secure connection between your water supply and the fixtures in your pool can be time consuming. That might not be so bad if that meant connecting something once and leaving it there for years. But that's not the nature of pool ownership. There are often times where a water jet will have to be switched out for a pool vacuum hose, or other piece of equipment. And for many pool owners, the hoses, jets, and valves have to all be disconnected at the end of the season only to be reconnected when summer returns. Doing this over and over again takes time, but it doesn't have to. This Quick Disconnect Hose Fitting makes it so that the process of installing and uninstalling water features and tools just takes seconds. To use it, all you have to do is screw it into your water source. One side of the fitting is made with a 1.5-inch MIP thread for this purpose. When you have that done, you can take advantage of the hose barb on the other side. This side also measures 1.5 inches in diameter. It lets you quickly connect hoses and other tools to your water source. Just press one end of the hose over the barbs and you're all set. So if you need to set up a pool vacuum, you can do so in no time at all. Then, when you're finished with your vacuum, you can uninstall it as easily as you put it in there. As a result, your overall time spent maintaining your pool goes down. Closing and opening the pool at the end and start of the season will also take less time. This works great for having to remove at the end of the season for winterizing the pool. No more wrestling with taking hoses off of barbs, this easily unscrews. Perfect.
