My corgi is very particular. She hides her pills and her dog food. When I count outsmart her, I put her pill in the pocket, and she always eats it, no problem.

My geriatric dog, who has to take 16 pills a day, started fighting me when trying to give her pills and capsules covered by another, great brand (Pillbuddy Naturals) that she loved for the past few years...could be her sense of smell changed with advancing age, or, perhaps, while on chemotherapy. So, I had to find something else that appealed to her QUICKLY. These cheese-flavored pill coverings, though, a bit odorous but not overly offensive, make my small-breed dog thinks she's getting a delicious treat!! They're soft and easily pull apart so I can mold the appropriate amount necessary to fully cover her pills without egregiously adding to her daily calorie count, and she scarfs them down without knowing her medication is inside... yay! Makes things a whole lot easier since her first pills of the day have to start at 4:00 am while we're still in bed (staggered, timed dispensing due to fixed-interval hours -- i.e., 12 hours apart -- as well as medication interactions with each other that can weaken potency if given too closely together...very important to check all contraindications of medications via an online pet med pharmacy -- great one is Wedgewood Pharmacy (NJ) -- which, in my experience, veterinarians don't always know about or advise on.)
