Bob's Red Mill Organic Oatmeal has been a great discovery for me. I've eaten oatmeal for breakfast for more than 20 years, but in a first this oatmeal cooks in under 5 minutes and is delicious besides. I likean oatmeal with texture, and I think this is definitely the best brand for that.I also feel that buying several packages at once and having simple paper bags encourages shoppers toconsider the environment when storing cereals. I put the oatmeal in a covered dish for my cabinet, andstore the rest in the pantry. The oatmeal is convenient and accessible, without bulky packaging.

The cheapest organic oatmeal I have found. I use just a little less water than it calls for to get the consistency I like and then stir it after it comes out of the microwave and let it sit for a few minutes before adding fruit or whatever to it.I find it to be equal to or better quality than other brands I have tried.

Bob's Red Mill is simply my favorite. The oats are so fresh and healthy for you.I bought the box and the bags were all fresh. Highly recommend buying this way if you're an oats fan.

FIRST, I really LIKED Quaker Organic til the last three old smelled stale, had a faint lemon smell, think Lemon Pledge and didn't taste all that fresh. ALSO TONS of husks! I mean I would have to spend too much time finding the husks and removing.SO after the third time, and because of reviews, decided to try Bob's.PROS:SMELL - the smell is better, not the staleness I would pick up from a newly opened bag of Quaker.TASTE - LIKE the taste better.TEXTURE - DITTO with texture.ORGANIC - Well, both were organic, so a wash there.CONS:I DID see and pick out something black or dark brown. NOT sure what it was, but checked bag that I emptied into a baggie and didn't see anything else. Not saying I wouldn't get again, but would be curious if anyone else saw anything like this. About the size of a small black unshelled sunflower seed.BUT I didn't see another, yet.BOTTOMLINE: For the money and quality, will likely get again. QUAKER will have to work much better at their quality control to get my biz back.
