Overall I'm pleased with these, you should know they are not maintenance free.If you do not clean out your gutters they can get filled with leaves. You'll have to remove them, clean them out and reinstall. We had unusual tornado weather a couple weeks back and a lot of rainfall in a short amount of time. So much that I had one clog with leaves and come off the down spout. No that there was nothing to divert the rain away from the house it washed a lot of dirt away from the foundation. Lesson learned, keep them clean and no problems.

Very easy to install. How ever one stays on perfectly and the other keeps coming off, I suppose the adhesive strip was bad on the second one.

This is my second one. Because they're plastic, and I need to leave them out year long for rain when snow melts Etc to keep my work chips from washing away, they do rip and tear within a year and have to be replaced. Hot sun and freezing cold weather does not allow plastic to hold up for very long, one season maybe two seasons if you don't mind holding it down with rocks and looking at split seams, which is what I did. But it does do the job

Last summer we discovered chipmunks had made nest in our gutters by climbing up the downspouts. I removed the wire that rolls the plastic gutter extender up, cut each one in half and attached them to the downspouts. They kept the critters out and survived the winter. I also used a different brand that didn't have the wire roll up and were made of thinner plastic. They were split and shredded after the winter and need to be replace.

2/27/22 - Update - the product has been working as advertised with one concern. If you have leaves or other debris coming down through your drain pipe it will quickly collect and clog the small drain holes in the body of the sleeve. You can unroll the unit and remove the slide on clip at the end to empty the sleeve out. This drain hole is relatively small and doesn't allow for efficient drainage (especially with leaves) so I wound up removing the sleeve and using a hose to wash the sleeve out. This worked fine. Obviously I had to reattach the sleeve with new tie wraps (not an issue) and if I only have to do this a couple of times a year I'll be fine with the product. I will update this review in 6 months.Initial Review - First, the product works as described, i.e., extends to drain the water away and retracts when empty. My issues are 1) my drains are approx. 4 x 3 and I couldn't use the foam adhesive provide for the installation. Not an issue, I just tie wrapped the extender to the drain. 2) the tie wraps they provide are very low quality. You need to provide your own and I'd recommend using two bands of tie wraps to ensure a secure fitting. Otherwise the product works fine. Depending on how much it rains in your area you may want to consider adding a few more holes in the body of the sleeve to help with the draining. In Florida, it can really rain hard at times.

Some of my gutters drain into the yard, easy setup. Two spots drain next to the house, and have sidewalk a few feet away. The specific layout makes this more complicated than it sounds. These are nice, they allow a good drain away from the foundation, and roll back up after the rain on their own. So, no trip hazard on our sidewalk. My only complaint, it takes a lot of water to unroll them. I wish they unrolled earlier, and rolled back up later. Maybe as the spine part ages, and weakens slightly, that will happen?
