I really wanted to love this marble double salt cellar, but the lid was so tight on mine that turning it enough to barely gain access to the chambers, caused it to chip away on the edge. It otherwise looks nice.

This unique while marble double salt container is made of very good quality marble, polished to a very smooth texture like high-end marble. It feels heavy, which I liked. However, just beware that the two inner chambers are not polished, and you can see amp; feel the semi-rough striations made by the tool that was used to grind out amp; shape the chambers. Also, take care to wash the chambers thoroughly before use, as the inner chambers were still coated with a fairly thick layer of marble dust. The hinge connecting the lid amp; the main body works smoothly, no noise opening amp; closing it. But, the lid has a slight wobble when extended outward. However, it does close smoothly on top of the main body, and when on top, it does not wobble.

Nice marble dish. It has 2 deep sides for storing just about anything inside. It has a nice weight to it and beautiful marbling. The top does not fully come off and doesn't spin all the way around. Not sure if it is supposed to or not. I like it, looks great on my counter and my salt and pepper is always ready for cooking.
