I had one of these and misplaced it. It's a great whistle at a good price. The quality has not changed since I bought the other one 7 or 8 years ago. It can be very loud--so make sure you don't blow it when children are close by or turn away from kids a bit to avoid hurting their ears. Highly recommend. Good, quality whistle--and an excellent value.

This whistle is VERY loud. I’m a preschool teacher, I use a whistle to signal the end of recess/playroom time. This whistle is actually too loud for my students, they hate it! So i guess my review isthis whistle works too well?? Actually looking for suggestions for a softer whistle!

This whistle has been really dependable. I have dropped it in the water just to pick it back up, blow in it, and it sound just as good as the day I received it in the mail. The whistle can be blown lightly when my dog is close or can be blown really hard and loud when she is 300 plus yards out. The ring that comes installed on the whistle is heavy duty. There is no worry of it coming off my lanyard.

I had a high hope for this whistle because of the good review (and a google result of “loud whistle recommendations”), but it wasn’t that different. I used it at an event at work. People can hear me, but the one I bought last year (and lost) did the same job. Since this cost slightly more, I am not going to lose it though.

Fox 40 whistles are a go to for officials. Caught them on sale (well i thought it was a deal) but ended up finding the same whistles on another site with the lanyard for a cheaper price so deducting a star for that but overall my preferred brand of whistle.

I have a bunch of these scattered around - in my EDC kit, in the car, in my wife's purse, and other places that I can't think of at the moment. This is the ideal low tech "communication system" that gets attention in a hurry. I've also got several "spares" to loan out to others when the situation calls for it. Don't waste your money on the knock-offs - get the real thing. Cheap, extremely durable, super loud - highly recommended.
