Way overpriced for a velcro strap

I'm really not impressed.<br /><br />First, let me say that I've used Fluke meters for years, and I don't settle for anything less. It's the best gear that any electrician can get (in my opinion). I now teach electrical troubleshooting, along with motors and controls, and all of our gear is Fluke.<br /><br />That said, this hanging kit is the biggest rip-off I think I've endured. You spend over $40 for a magnet, 9" long nylon strap (dog collar) and plastic clip. If you've ever had to take measurements in tight places or at fused disconnects, you know what a pain that is without a magnet hanger. These work well on our 177 and 179 meters. I've got 20 meters that need hangers, and so far I've only bought two. There's just no way I can justify spending nearly $800 to put hangers on the other 18.<br /><br />These hangers are good, but definitely not a good deal.

I have half a dozen Fluke instruments the TPAK will fit (I own one TPAK, and would like more), but I just can't bring myself to spend 50% of the value of an instrument (thermometer in this case) for a magnet, bits of plastic and 8" of nylon webbing. I don't mind spending my hard-earned money on fine quality instruments, like my Fluke 85 and 85-III, but I resent getting plucked like a chicken for this handy but exorbitantly price accessory.
