Saw this avertisted on tv and am so glad I purchased it. So handy for a novice diyer. Never really taught how to read a tape before, but this made it so easy and quick also. Love you can read it both ways too. Not to mention how convient to have a place to write numerous measurements.

The lefty/righty tape measure helps me to avoid mistakes in measuring while in my wood shop. Increments are sharp, easy to read. Locking blade, with a braking action when retracting the tape. Built in pencil sharpener only sharpens standard 2 pencils ... a well made tool. I bought a 16 footer, and will buy more.

Family member had this on their Christmas wish list. I thought it looked like a regular tape-measure. When they opened the tape-measure, it has a ton of really great features! The tape is marked going each way so that there will be no errors as the tape is read, the locking feature is unique and useful, and there’s a place in the tape to jot down a measurement and then erase- very pleased with this purchase!

This tape measure is great I love it I'm terrible with math so to not have to think about how many 16ths my only complaint is that all the numbers are too small (not just the 16ths) for thing like measuring ceiling hight

As someone who "attempts" woodworking as a hobby this tape measure is great. Easy to read and use, shows down to 16ths. Good quality for the price.

This product is a real asset in the woodshop. Having the measurements on both sides of the tape makes measuring from the table saw blade to the proper distance easier than reading the tape upside down. Also, all fractions of the tape are imprinted making measurements easy and quick. It has a tape stop lever that works well and the price for this device is significantly cheaper than buying a tape from the Depot or Lowes. Also contains a pencil sharpener integrated into the body. A great find!

Nice tape

Bought one of these a few years back at Woodcraft on a whim. It punches way over its weight in regards to quality/cost. It's easy to handle and easy to read, and it's never given me trouble. I have half a dozen tapes and this is the one I always with was in my toolbox when I have to reach for another one. I'm buying two more of these. Also, if you do anything with 3D printing, check out their blue metric "true 32" tape. It's great for designing pieces that you're going to 3D print, but I've also dabbled with using it to do carpentry and it's a surprisingly good experience.

Great to help someone who need to get better at inch fractions when measuring. It is also easy to read.

I'm loving all the subtle features that are just outstanding and stand-out - and for the same price as the other big names! I'm seriously going to be using this left/right for all tapes now. 1) The body width is an exact 3", vs many with are 3-1/16" or 3-1/8". I spot checked it with a pair of calipers and it's within 1/32" of 3" exact. I'll call that good enough for trim work. 2) the integrated pencil sharpener is awesome. I had moved to mechanical pencils because I didn't want to carry a sharpener, and the carpenter pencils were too large for accurate trim level measurements. I have used the pico pencils w/built in sharpeners, and still like them, but I appreciate the simplicity of a regular 2 pencil sharpener built in, and prefer those to the more expensive pico with their lead. 3) the clip is actually spring loaded. Silly, but makes a very nice difference. 4) It has a temporary stop/hold button on the bottom of the measure. This is super helpful for one-handed operation, vs having to catch the tape directly. Again, the former works, but this built-in button is genuinely better. 5) rubberized exterior. It doesn't sound like it should matter, but it absolutely does. You get a better grip and it's more comfortable to hold/use. 6) 1/16 measurements ON BOTH sides. Most tapes have gone to a 1/8 named measurement, but not gonna lie the 1/16 is just soo much nicer in the moment. And having the numbers printed in both directions is sooo nice. And it's on the white nylon backing, which the other nice brands are also doing now. Again, subtle things that add up to overall better.

My hobo freight tape measure stopped locking recently and I began a search for a new one. The movement on this tape measure is so smooth, and the ambidextrous numbers are great! I have never known such quality in a tape measure.
