Professional Carpenter here - this is a waste of money. Usually love fastcap but this is dumb. Eraser fell out after half an hour in my bags, the pencil is ok but there is no discernable benefit of this over a traditional carpenter's pencil, plus it's round so you can't scribe with it. Three stars because it's an ok product but no more because it's pointless.

The fatboy is one of the best mechanical pencils for construction work. It works really well on some types of ceramic tiles, making marks easy to see.

This pencil is great! Marks on everything! I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. It's a bit annoying to try and pick it up by the eraser and it just pops off. I wish there was a screw-on cap over the eraser so I could protect it as needed.

Fantastic product-recommended by Ron Paulk. Highly recommend! Pencil sharpener in cap could be a little sharper but it works great in my cordless drill. I just ordered some more!

This carpenter pencil has been extremely helpful throughout every phase of my home remodel project. The lead is easy to change (just press down on the eraser to release the lead, and then replace as necessary) and sharpen (just unscrew the eraser and the sharpener is inside), and it holds up to abuse really well. Definitely worth purchasing!
