Very supportive. We updated our laminate countertops with 3cm thick quartz. Needed to support about a 1 foot overhang. Spaced these about 1834;. I can place my whole body weight (280 lbs) on the bartop and it doesn't budge.

These do bend under weight. They were installed level but then we had to shim to get the countertop back to level after installation due to the braces bending. I would have gone with a thicker brace next time.

Opened the wall between kitchen and living room. Instead of big pillars or other braces, this worked perfectly. With the heavy oak bar, we used 3 of these spaced by 12 inches drilled into the top studs. Looks perfect. Would highly recommend for floating bar look.

Worked perfectly! Supports 1034; overhang on my granite bar top, without ugly, knee busting corbels.

The plates themselves are stiff but the problem is that your underlying structure must be super solid for these to not flex. When I first installed them they had a ton of flex but after driving some more screws into the stud wall it was greatly improved but still flexed. I recommend installing these slanted up about 1/834; so that the counter top flexes them down a little and they will provide more support. I'm guessing most of the good reviews are from people who will never truly put them to the test. Its possible that most granite will support most normal loads, even someone sitting on it and therefore nobody will know if these really work or not. Traditional braces will use the underlying structure in a much stronger manner so having a super solid support structure isn't as critical.

Great product - does the job, was easy to install and cost wasn't bad at all. Would buy again. Simple, inexpensive and holds up the bar in the kitchen perfectly.

Worked perfectly, though it should have come with screws, but no big deal.

Works well, I would mention that you need more of these supports per linear foot than standard supports, however I used them on my countertop and they worked very well for extra support for my bar top without having intrusive supports under the bar.

I installed these on a 2x4 knee wall to support a granite 1834; counter top. I used a circular saw to cut a groove in the 2x4, so that the braces are flush with the wall. It worked great. They braces feel sturdy.

Great quality and very sturdy. We used 3 for our bar during a kitchen remodel. I was impressed as was the granite installer. The installer did include a lot of adhesive to make sure it works properly. I love the brace and my new granite.

very thick. works good but if could be seen under the counter - do not look good. It needs to have rounded edges on the visible part

Although the granite installer said we didn't need this support, I am much more comfortable with 3 of these supporting a 1334; overhang on our 4834; wide granite slab. I attached these to two 2x4's inside the cabinet base, with the brace extending under the slab overhang. I now have confidence in support in case anyone places a heavier object, including a grand baby, on the edge of the granite. Highly recommended design and application.
