Well first trip out on the lake and it did fantastic in the wind and the chop. By far the best I have ever experienced in boating.NOW for the CON....... Lake is over 60 feet deep on one side later in the day of our trip and the anchor snagged what we believed to be a large tree and for over an hour we could not get her to let loose of the tree once that thing started grabbing on. We all struggled pulling moving the boat different directions over and around the anchor point and she just wouldn't let loose. Luck of the draw snagging a tree and having to cut the line, but we will be getting another and making sure what we could possibly snag on too next time!

This 25lb box anchor is a bit heavy (well i ordered the 25 pounder so. Lol) i thought if it was heavier it would work better. Maybe but no way to compare , not buying another.Only used it 3 times so far.To heavy to throw, lol, just drop it , back up a bit so line is angled and done. Worked awsome evertime. Dug right in. My old style anchor was a hit or miss each time . I love love love this anchor. Spring is really tough to set and unset for folding up anchor , but better than loose i guess. And is a bit tricky to store it in small anchor area in my boat but i squeeze it. Still best working anchor!! I would definitely recommend to all at the lake!
