Old Equalizer hitch was at the weight limit and eventually bent the shank. Equalizer replaced the shank, but I needed to upgrade everything else to the 14K. Works great and the plastic L-bracket cover really quotes the rig when turning.

Does what you bought it for, well made. No sway on the trailer, just need some heavy duty tools to install. Happy with the purchase.

We drove 10 hours from home to Branson, MO. on a family Christmas trip. When we arrived, we noticed that our Equal-i-zer hitch was broken. Since we were 10 hours away from home, we were not sure what we were going to do. Thanks to Equal-i-zer's excellent customer service, we were able to drive to a local reseller of theirs and they were able to help me with my warranty of the hitch. This is my second hitch from Equal-i-zer on my second trailer. And I plan to continue to use their product on future campers.

Take the time to set it up properly and it will benefit your handling, tremendously. We had a Reece Towpower WD hitch and two friction sway controllers attached to that and still had sway issues with our short wheel base tow vehicle. This hitch eliminated 95 of that issue! I was unsure about this hitch and we almost sold our camper because of our sway problems. So glad I could remedy the problem for less than $700. Thank you Equal-i-zer!!!

I love this hitch this is the second one I have purchased for my trailers. Follow the setup instructions and this hitch cant be beat. I recommend it and would buy again.

I bought this to replace the 6000LB version that I used for a smaller trailer. It's everything I expected Equalizer. Build quality is solid, and heavy. It was easy to setup and install. I watched a couple videos, and had it done in an hour or so. One thing to note - check the torque specs. There are a couple items that say to torque to 400-450 ft lbs. There's probably not many 'normal' folks that have a torque wrench that goes that high. I brought it to a trailer shop, and talked to them about it. They say they never torque anything that high, and themselves didn't even have a torque wrench that went to 450 ft lbs. I torqued mine to 250 and called it good.
