I'm just a rank amateur, recreational player, so probably any paddle would be OK for me. I like this paddle and am glad I got it. No complaints.

This paddle gives me ample power, spin and control of all my shots, as long as I hit the sweet spot (or close to it). I agree with the reviewer who said that balls outside the sweet spot can just die on you - I experience the same thing. Also, compared to many of the more recent Toray T700 carbon fiber paddles, the face of this paddle is fairly slick, although I am able to impart pretty good spin with it regardless. It has held up well to hundreds of hours of play without losing any of its playability. My biggest complaint is that the price is steep compared to what's out there now. There is little reason to spend much more than $100 on most paddles these days and plenty of sub-$100 paddles that perform at a high level for most players. Hence only 4 stars. If you can find on for around $75 it would make a great starter paddle.

Added considerable pop to my drives with no loss of spin or control. Huge sweet spot and very maneuverable. Accomplishes all this while actually feeling lighter than a lot of competitor paddles. Only negative is that the paddle face is getting pocked rather easily after a few sets. Highly recommended.
