We had these locks on our doors for years then decided to try electronic swipe style locks from another manufacturer. They were OK at first and then started to become problematic. So we change back to the Simplex locks as the others died. Big mistake to change them in the first place. Should have stuck with these the whole time. They are reliable, sturdy and do the job that we need them to do.

The only thing that i don't like is programming it. If you don't do this every day its a big deal to program ,but I did it, so if you don't mind racking your brain its a great lock set. I would use a lock company and let them worry about programming it, if you don't have time for this.

I ireplaced this lock at a fire station office door , so it gets alot of use . But the button combo lock wears out eventually about every two years . keep the tools that come with and directions to be able to change combonation in the future. sometimes you can change combo to use a number thats not worn out?? you wil know when it does't click when you push it in.
