Cute costume, but has to be altered. My daughter is 6 1/2. She wears a size 5/6. I ordered the 4-6x. It has to be taken in about an inch on both sides and hemmed about 2 1/2-3 inches. Still worth it, just know it runs big.

This dress is cute, but BIG. I ordered a 4-6 for my almost 6 year old. She's 4334; inches tall and this dress was beyond long. It dragged about 2 inches on the ground past her feet. It also was very big on her body, looking about maybe 2 sizes too large. I will say she is on the smaller side for her age, and wears size 5/6 clothes. For future buyers I'd say consider a smaller size. As for the dress itself it was nice. Good quality, similar to an above average type Halloween costume. My daughter did like it, but had to return.

We bought this dress for my 4-year old, who loves Elena. The dress is pretty.. However, as other reviewers stated, the bow in the back is super droopy. Also, the flower details are in some sort of glitter glue, and not actually part of the fabric. We are finding glitter everywhere in the house. My daughter had an accident, so I had to wash the dress. The instructions say to hand wash, but I thought it would be ok to use the delicate cycle with the spin cycle off, and I put it into the washer. Big mistake! Half glitter detail fell off the dress. What a mess! There are glitter particle all over the dress, and in the washer. I know it was my mistake not to follow the wash directions, but I did not expect the glitter to disintegrate. So moral of the story.... follow the care instructions!

This is an adorable costume, but the 7-8 size was HUGE on my petite 7 1/2 year old. I would say it would fit an average sized 9 or 10 year old. We had to return it. :-(
