Great for working on vehicles, late nights outdoors, etc. 5 amp battery will last about 3hrs at high output.

Very bright light and the batteries charge fast. Light with the battery attached is quite heavy but the light will attach to flat surfaces with ease. A vehicle engine hood is the primary use.

I immediately put this to use with an under hood maintenance task on my wifes Grand Cherokee. PLENTY of brightness. and you would not know the light was coming from two sections, it casts a uniform brightness throughout the engine bay. Then I moved to the front seat area to complete some detailing, including a quick vacuum of the front carpeting. It extends long enough to be clamped at the top of the door seams. Its swivel adjustment got the light down and forward so I could vacuum thoroughly despite it being fully dark outside. It was on for maybe 25-30 minutes, and it used one bar of a 3Ah 20v battery. Lastly, i folded it back up and set it freestanding on the gerund next to the vehicle to aid in cleanup of tools in the dark. Cannot do that with the single-piece designs! Stores folded and freestanding in a corner of my garage. I suppose i could also hang it from somewhere. I dont have any 12v batteries, only 20v - but if I did thst would be another plus. i believe the milwaukeee unit only takes their 12v batteries. And I own a good number of Milwaukee tools, as well as dewalt.

It works great. One light or two. I use my biggest 6ah battery and it lasts for my whole shift. I use it under the hood , inside hanging from handles above the doors and under the car when on the lift. Its pretty big even when folded but I use it 5 days a week. Proud to own it

AZIZ!!! LIGHT!!!If you work on your own car and on DeWalt battery system, you have to buy this. It's a nice design that allows you to stow away without taking much room, works well, and seems to be durable although I'm not throwing it on the ground or anything. I take care of my toys :)

The light is way heavier than I expected. Super bright and perfect for under the hood repairs. Seems strong and fits every hood Ive used it on so far. Even hooked it on the roll bars on the interior of a utv. Would definitely add it to the dewalt collection!

Drains the small batteries fairly quickly so use a 4 or 5Ah for best results. I've only used it with 20v so no idea how well it works with the 12v.

Nice and bright, I like the different modes and settings it has. I can turn the brightness down or half of it off when needed. My only gripe is this thing burns through batteries like you wouldn't believe. A 6ah lasts a couple hours on full brightness. Still recommended

I used to zip tie a cheap led fluorescent replacement light to my hood for extended automotive work. Now I use this DeWalt light, no wires in the way, no wasted zip ties. It also works well in my attic in places far from power when you need a more wide area light than a headlamp or flashlight provides. The light doesn't seem fragile, but not super rugged and durable by any means, so don't pretend it's a lightsaber or anything.
