It's a pretty tree but not as substantial as I expected, pretty lightweight and flimsy. I had to stick it in a corner and put something on it to weigh it down. The cost is high after realizing the quality of the product.

I absolutely love these 8ft palm trees and I have had others, although if you are planning on using them outside in an area that can sometimes have high winds, they do not fair well. Two days after purchasing 4 of them they all broke in half. I love them so much that I resolved the issue by purchasing 1.25 inch PVC pipe and had it cut to fit at the hardware stored. I cut off the plastic insert piece in the bottom half of the palm tree. I taped foam around the PVC pipe and placed it into the center of the trunk. I secured the top palm tree piece with duck tape for extra sturdiness. I then used the brown decorative tape (provided by the manufacturer) to cover the duck tape for a nicer look. Works great! I have 6 of these and absolutely love them!!!
