These fence caps are very well-made of thick, PVC plastic or similar. They are bright white and paintable/stainable. I have nothing negative to say about the product, except for the fact that they are more suited for a 4 x 4 with a sleeve over it. This, in fact, is probably what they were designed for and in that case would be a perfect fit. In my case, I was purchasing them to crown Wooden 4 x 4 fence posts so they leave about a half cm of space on all 4 sides and do not fit snug. I solved the problem by putting the overflow to the back side of the post and putting a screw in the front once it was centred. Once painted to match the fence, no one knows any better and it looks great. The only other odd thing was that the Canadian distributor only lets you buy a maximum of six so my wife and I both ordered the Max separately on each of our accounts Problem solved.
