Instructions could be more detailed and simpler to follow, but once assembled, it's quite sturdy, and will likely last a long time. Have purchased a few of these leg stretching machines, and this I can say is the best one I've had.

I looked at many stretching machines and read many reviews before settling on this one. I've also used these devices in the past with great success; it's a lot easier to make progress using a machine like this than doing the splits because you can sit near your limit for a lot longer without fatigue (versus staying in the splits).The good: This is the sturdiest/most robust machine I've used (I'm 6'3, 220 lbs. and the machine supports me just fine). I use it on short carpet and the wheels roll without issue. The knee supports can be placed in different slots for a variety of body types.The bad: As others have stated, the instructions are worthless. Here's something I didn't see stated: All bolts must be installed so the head is on the BOTTOM of the machine and the shaft is pointing UP. This was not obvious to me initially and it resulted in having to disassemble and reassemble the machine; it's also not easy to assemble it this way, but it's necessary. The disengage mechanism is very abrupt; my recommendation is to exhale completely and relax before disengaging to avoid pain/discomfort. The ratchet only locks approximately every 5 degrees, so progress requires quite a bit of time at the previous angle since you can't incrementally increase by 1-2 degrees. There aren't many places to grab onto to assist in your stretching. As a taller person, I do wish the leg supports were longer... but they work.Overall, the machine performs its function and appears to be durable thus far. It would be nice if a company stepped up and made a gold standard stretching machine that addressed all of the common complaints, but for now... this is probably the best unit on the market.
