I like the concept of a doorbell that is wireless. However, I am having trouble getting this unit to transmit it's signal to the chime. Also, it is not protected by any soffit overhang, so it can get wet when it rains. Consequently, it tends to short out and the batteries go dead in short order. I am attempting to protect it with a plastic shield, but no success so far.

Worked fine easy install. Thanks. After further use. The batteries run down after a few days. I have replaced batteries 3 times since receiving the product. Is there a possible solution?

This is the 3rd one I've ordered in one year! Since I have the other part, I didn't want to get a complete 2-unit system again. So far (1 week) this is working OK. If it doesn't last more than a year, I'll be very disappointed--AGAIN.

The button arrived quickly and in good condition. It installed easily with the provided doubled-sticky tape. I'll mount it with screws later if the tape doesn't hold. It works perfectly with our Carlon RC3260 door chime. Our chime is about 50-60 feet distant. No apparent problems with range. Only one big problem. The little white button (visible in the picture) on the top front is used to switch between chime tones. Each push selects between 10 or so different tones. After that, the selected tone is heard when one pushes the big black button. Why isn't the small button inside like on the door sensor that came with the RC3260? I don't want the tone to change every time one of our customers gets curious. I guess I'll cover it with a piece of tape or something. In my mind, this feature seriously detracts from what is otherwise a good product.
