After reading some comments online, I thought I'd take the plunge to see what the hype is all about. I have never spent a lot of money on power cables, as any money that I do spend on such accessories go towards interconnects, headphone cables, and the like. Seeing Pangea, Shunyata, and other high end power cables for such high asking prices made me wonder how much difference they can actually make. That aside, I do enjoy an audiophile bargain (e.g. Schiit Audio products, Q Acoustics speakers, Elac Debut B6s, etc.), so I thought I'd try the Iron Lung Jellyfish clone.

I must say, I am impressed, surprised, and a bit shocked at the performance increase I experienced by using one of these with a Little Dot MKIII headphone amplifier. I use Electro Harmonix power tubes and Vokshod drivers with this amp, along with several pairs of headphones (AKG K7xx, Sennheiser HD 598, 600, & 6xx to name a few) and I have been very happy with the sound for a couple years now. However, after replacing the stock power cable with this, I noticed that my amp had more juice. Things sounded tighter and even more dynamic. I thought it was a placebo effect at first, but I swear this cable woke up my amp (as another reviewer said).

I am thrilled with this purchase because of the performance increase and low cost of the cable. I wonder how additional cables that I intend to order will affect other devices, but for now, I can't take my headphones off.
