Don't listen to the others when they say you can only make a “L” shape desk with this bridge. After pricing “U” shape desk, I found this priced out much lower in separate pieces. This Bush Business Furniture Components Return Bridge, 48W, Hansen Cherry/Graphite Gray in fact comes with an extra narrow stand/end so both sides can have leg room under it; thus you can use it as a bridge between two larger desk and create an U shape desk. The wide stand/end is then not used in assembly. My Bush Furniture Somerset 72” hutch also sits on a portion of this. Very strong and I love the Hansen Cherry.MY MESSY OFFICE (just moved in and unpacking): In all, I bought 2 of the 72”x30” computer desk in Hansen Cherry/Gray, this bridge which created the “U” Shape and does give me a comfy 48” space to spin the chair around in (I'm a big guy too). I also nicely planned and fit the 72” hutch yet added a nice under cabinet LED light (they could have made this an add on) and I purchased the Bush Business Furniture Studio C 60W Low Storage Cabinet With Doors And Shelves, Hansen Cherry (wish it came 30” high) and for my printer that Bush Business Furniture Components Storage Cabinet, 30W, Hansen Cherry/Graphite Gray all topped off with the Bush Business Furniture Components 3-Drawer Mobile File Cabinet, Hansen Cherry/Graphite Gray (fits under desk) just looks awesome in my set up, agree? I now have all the surface space (not at the moment, LOL) I ever wanted and a place to put everything. I did find lower prices at the O depot place. Keep in mind you can mix and match Bush Business Furniture Studio C Hansen Cherry with Bush Business Furniture Components in Hansen/Graphite Gray and it looks great together and matches exactly. Thanks Bush!

I've purchased six pieces of Bush Furniture for my office. The end of the desk broke and Bush is zero help, I tried to purchase (wasn't asking for warranty) and they will not sale parts for there desk without pictures. I already through away the broken piece. I can't I understand why I can purchase replacement parts. They are still available, just can't buy. (Again wasn't asking for free) Buyer beware, only purchase if you plan to throw in the trash if a part breaks.

This was easy to assemble. Directions provided left or right hand orientation. It attached easily to my existing desk, even though the original desk was from a different manufacturer. Attractive, sturdy does the job I wanted it for.
