Its perfect for our battletech games that use the 125 inch scale hexes Pictured are some decor using 15 inch hex bottoms The white accent marks help with measurements without destorting the terrain look The mat is the same material as a mouse pad giving it a nice weight to it and keeping it level and flat on the surface Best deal compared to other mats with less

this is a great map I use it for my DD games before wed use maps that were much smaller and theres always one person in the group who likes being the support sniper and is at the very edge of the map hoping the GM doesnt have one or two thugs go after him and since the maps we used were small it was only one or two turns before they were on top of the support sniper with this map theres plenty of room to run it works great on tables floors and carpet I have 3d printed buildings cars mountains lakes and they all stay right were I put them and it stood up to hot tea spills and as well as soda I bought a dowel rod from home depot to roll the map around for storage in the bag it was a buck 50 well worth it for less hassle my only issue is they only have a green map I would love a desert map

Bought this for my husbands warhammer obsession he was so excited It is huge though so make sure you have a good flat space to use it in or buy a fold up table to use specially for playing

I recently received one of these maps via a promotional purchase from the company and I must say it is a rather amazing pieceThis map is HUGE It is easily quadrouple the size of any previous mapsheets I own and at least twice as large as I have previously played on combined) Filling every bit of its [6 ft by 4 ft] description Open Field is ideal for those wargamers that absolutely must field every single piece of their pocket armies and even proven to host multiplayer events with enough elbow room to fit up to 4 players comfortablyPlaced on an appropriate table or a pair of tables in my case) the features are attractive and alluring to both gamers and non-gamers alike Even if you dont have an adequately sized table the map is flexible enough to drape over the edges without fear of tearingsliding giving the owner a variety of choices when selecting the maps orientationplacementThe finer details clearly come into focus once one approaches the map: crisp yet subtle hex-lines across the open battlefield make tracking movement and therefore distance) relatively easy without taking away from the underlining imagery of the terrain The asymmetrical placement of the roughed in bare-ground areas makes this style of map ideal for every type of gamer out there - from Fantasy to Science Fiction The organization of the hexes are clearly defined right up to their respective edgesEven if one were to ignore the hexes the surface is smooth and snag-free allowing for graceful transition of gaming pieces across the field without ever needing to lift them from the table 3D terrain can be placed within the hexlines as well allowing for fuller experiences in gamingThe durability has also been surprising Whether condensation from a cold beverage or accidental tip-over the surface resists spills and stains making cleanup and worry) minimal Storage of the map is equally impressive - whether I fold it or roll it back into its strap-on slip case the map still manages to avoid showing creases and remains resistant to tearscutsOne of the other surprising benefits of this map is its sound dampening effect it had on dice rolls Whether using corneredhard-edged dice round-edged dice or metal dice their impacts on the gaming surface is muffled significantly This allows games to be played in a quieter playing environment without having to pack specialized devices for rolling conventions a plus for small apartments or multi-family living arrangements with small sleeping children)As a first-run product the few flaws I found in this product prevent me from giving it the full 5 stars However given the chance to pick up another map perhaps one of a different landscape style?)
