I have gained weight and carry it in the middle, so I ordered a size large, especially since I like to throw things in the dryer and these are 100% cotton. I have no idea if they did shrink, but they are still quite LARGE on me! Well, that's what I ordered! I am 5,3 1/2" and 140 pounds. These are quite long on me, so someone three inches or more could wear these. I have to pin and eventually hem them. Although they are too large (great for around the house, but not exactly for socializing), they are attractive and since I need to roll out of bed in the AM and take my maltipoo for a walk while half asleep, I don't have time to change clothes and these look enough like pants to get away with it. In fact they really could pass as sweat pants, but that is not exactly my style if I wear choosing an outfit. Someone with my measurements could order and perhaps be happier with a Medium. All in all they are nice and do fit as expected. These days I never know what I am getting with a large. I think these are just what I ordered, so they get five stars.PS I got the rose colored ones with tree design. If you found this review helpful, please let me know.

Love them. Exactly what I was looking for. Soft and comfortable. A little long through the waist for me because I prefer to wear them around my hips like a men's bottoms -- but I just flip the waistband down and they're perfect. I bought these as well as in the red plaid and they're both great. I'm 5' 4" and weigh 115 lbs and my legs are not long or short. And I rarely write reviews so this is how great I think they are.
