The description is inaccurate as I had surmised. It is not 11 mm long, but has a cross hexagonal measure of 11 mm. I bought it to repair the internal workings of a SRAM cassette on the rear wheel of an almost 10 year old FUJI bicycle. Local hardware store had Hex Wrenches only up to 10 MM. As it turns out the measure of the internal fitting which would release the cassette was not 11 mm, but probably 12. The wrench did, however, with a bit of twist, catch some resistance and released the internal prawls which had somehow seized. Surprisingly, the wrong tool did the job right without the need to remove the cassette completely! The rear cassette and bike as a whole now work well. It's the only road bike I know that has survived both hurricanes and Katrine in NOL and Sandy in NJ.
