Product Description
Kamut khorasan wheat is an ancient grain guaranteed to never be hybridized or genetically modified. It is always organically grown and is known for its nutrition, ease of digestibility (it is a more digestible form of gluten), its sweet nutty and buttery flavor, and firm texture. Khorasan is more nutritious than regular wheat due to a greater protein and potassium content. It also contains many minerals and vitamins including selenium, zinc, B1, and more.
This Azure Market Organic flour goes through the Unifine Process. The grain enters a high speed rotor and is instantly shattered into fine flour - even the bran and germ are burst! Air goes through the rotor with the grain and blows the flour out, thus keeping it cool throughout the process, retaining many nutrients. With the Unifine Process the natural oils in the grain are kept intact and do not get hot like in regular grain milling and stoneground milling.
Khorasan Flour, which is yellow rather than light brown, can be used for bread, muffins and other baked goods as well as for homemade pasta. It has a rich "buttery" taste, high nutritional value and is also easy to digest.
Azure Market products are packaged in a Facility that meets the Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards which includes an approved allergen control program.
Price is FOB Moro, Oregon for customers purchasing the 1200 lb size Tote. Customers are responsible for freight charges based on chosen method of delivery from our warehouse to their destination. Receiving customer must have a Forklift, or Dock to unload.

Interesting flour to use, it absorbs liquid differently so you need less of it. I use it for any recipe I would use all-purpose or wheat. Tastes fresh! It kind of has a honey flavor. I like using this and azure coconut sugar to make homemade Nilla wafers.
