Product Description
Round, flat and extremely versatile. More mild flavored than the darker lentils. Cooks up to a puree very quickly. Ideal for loaves and burgers. The Lentil's high protein content is said to be more easily digested than that of larger beans. High in iron.

Product meets or exceeds USDA guidelines. Although the most modern equipment and standards are used when cleaning, processing, and packing this product, the contents of this bag are a natural product grown in the earth. It is not always possible to remove all foreign material.
Cooks quickly with no need for presoaking. Lentils are the quickest cooking legume.

Cook using 3 cups of liquid (water, or stock of your choice) to 1 cup of dry lentils. Be sure to use a large enough saucepan as the lentils will double, or triple in size. Bring to a boil, cover tightly, reduce heat and simmer until they are tender. Cook time for lentils is typically 15-20 minutes.
