Good Quality and long lasting light. Lots of good features but the swivel magnet at the bottom needs more adjustability and a stronger magnet, as the LED light doesn't fold at an angle to the base. So you have to rely on the swivel magnet to get the angle needed. In my estimation, they make a better version for more $, See the Astro Tools 52SLC

I am such a tight wad and cheap skate. But some how I still find it worth buying these lights. I use them daily. I have tried the cheap one and they break all the time. Very good battery life. I keep it on the lowest setting and it is bright enough, but when you really need to see full bright is awesome. The only reason I have had to buy more than 1 is because I lose it, but I have had many times where a customer drives 40 minutes away when I forgot it stuck under the vehicle. I call them to check and it's still there. Magnet is strong. I have literally torched it directly with the oxy torch doing exhaust manifolds. The clear plastic around the light bubbles and melts, but the light still works. I have not seen a light that works better and is as tough. Nice and skinny so it can be jammed in tight spaces. Buy this light, just don't lose it.

Gone are the days of 40 watt incandescent drop lights with the sheet metal shield and the long power cord that either turned in such a way as they either blinded you or you couldn't get the light in the right spot. Burned forearms from the sheet metal reflector were also fun. God forbid you drop one of those anywhere around a fuel leak or you'd burn the garage down. These Astras are the BEST we've ever used, and I believe we've tried just about every type of shop light out there.. Slim design that gets into the tightest spaces with a powerful magnetic base, very bright, white, variable intensity light. They're cool to the touch, the batteries hold a charge long enough to get you through a long job. They also are surprisingly durable withstanding multiple drops without breaking. The single LED at the tip of the wand is very useful where visual access is limited, shining a direct beam of light into a confined area.
